Global Trade and Marketing - A Conversation and Tour with The Roasterie - $39 Tour

A unique hands-on experience for teachers of all subjects as you hear real stories about global trade, fair trade, marketing, and finding your niche among the many national coffee chains that dot the landscape. Transportation to the Roasterie included.  Samples provided. Space is limited – register early.

The Roasterie is a unique coffee roasting company using a direct trade process. Located in downtown Kansas City. Participants will learn about The Roasterie’s global supply chain, direct trade processes, and the impact of both on their strategic marketing plan.

Tour attendees will gather in the lobby where staff will be coordinating transportation.

Part of the Federal Reserve of Kansas City.
 
Learn more about the Federal Reserve system and bring back real examples to share with your students about the financial institutions of our country.  Whether you teach finance, marketing, banking, management, economics, or entrepreneurship, you will want to share the information learned with your students when you return to school.

This tour will encompass: 
  • A deep dive into the Federal’s Reserve’s role in the overall economy.
  • An in-depth view of the operations of one of the region's largest cash vaults which processes millions of dollars daily.
  • Interactive exhibits that explore banking, how people pay for things and how monetary policy decisions impact a family's bottom line.
  • The famous Truman Coin Collection, which includes coins from each U.S. presidential administration.
Economic Outlook Presentation 
  • Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the current outlook of the U.S. economy from a representative of the Kansas City Federal Reserve’s Economic Research department. This session will inspire participants to learn more about the economy, data analysis, and the work of the Federal Reserve.
